Here's one perspective in the comments...
The President and VP may have their foibles and flaws but they are both straight shooters who have ethics and sound reasoning as opposed to the other candidates who are flawed in some very critical ways. Romney is a cardboard cutout of a politician in that he is of little substance and just says whatever he thinks the audience wants to hear. Maybe that works in his world of big business, but being elected official is the "people business" and without a solid core and real empathy with/for your constituents you are a hollow leader. There are components missing from the personalities of both Romney/Ryan that are frightening in their implications for this country.Kate MaxwellOct 11, 2012 at 8:35 PM

Gloria Borger points out on CNN that Biden's last national TV interview was in May, when he revealed his support for same-sex marriage. Obama responded to that by saying Biden "probably got out a little bit over his skis."
