As a reminder, this debate will take place with the candidates seated at a table. The first debate had the two candidates standing behind podiums, and the second was town-hall style, with Obama and Romney roaming the stage while speaking, and sitting on stools during their opponent's time.

Less than an hour until the start tonight's debate in Boca Raton, Florida.

The candidates have spent a significant amount of time courting the Florida vote and the campaigns have been raking in the donations: As of August 31, the Obama campaign has raised $9.64 million in the Sunshine State. The most generous county for Obama has been Miami-Dade. The Romney campaign has raised $18.04 million. The most generous county for Romney has been Palm Beach.

Tonight, says Fareed Zakaria, is all about character: "Foreign policy is a little bit different from domestic policy. In domestic policy you’re trying to see whether the candidate agrees with you or whether you agree with him. It’s often a checklist of things: abortion, the economy, taxes.
Foreign policy is really a prism through which people look at the character of the person, the values, the strength, the consistency. So it is important, but not in a direct way in the way that domestic policy is."
