The CNN projection for Romney in Indiana marks the first state tonight that went for Obama in 2008 switching for Romney in 2012.

The 2008 result was narrow -- 50% for Obama and 49% for McCain.

Ohio exit poll info:
Finally, in the all-important swing state of Ohio, exit polls indicate 39% of today's voters are Democrats while 30% are Republicans and 31% are independents.

Twenty-one percent of today's Ohio voters are in a household that includes a union member while 79% are not.

When it comes to the auto bailout, 59% of today's Ohio voters approve of the federal government's aid to U.S. automakers while 36% disapprove.

Romney polling showed Obama lead in Ohio on Sunday

Boston (CNN) – Mitt Romney's internal campaign polling showed President Obama leading Ohio by five points on Sunday, the final day the campaign polled the state, two GOP sources told CNN.

The number represented a sharp final bump for Obama in Ohio, a race that had essentially been a tied race through much of the previous week, according to the campaign's daily tracking.

The polling, which also showed a tight race in Pennsylvania, explains why Romney officials decided to send their candidate on last-minute Election Day visits to Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

One state to watch tonight is New Hampshire. The state is a presidential battleground, but its down-ballot races are similarly close, and could make history.

Female Democrats are vying for seats in three of the down-ballot races in the state. If they're all successful on November 6, New Hampshire would be the first state with a female governor, and an all-female Congressional delegation.

The first results out of the Granite State actually came in last night, in Dixville Notch and Hart's Location. But the bulk of the state's votes will start being tallied at 8 p.m. ET, when the polls close.
