I worked for a company where a guy was a multi-millionaire. He had just built another MILLION dollar house in the same city and 2 weeks later, I was one of the few who got laid off because he claimed he couldn't afford to keep us on his payroll anymore. This is evidence of how some of the richest Americans don't care about their employees, just about themselves. They want you to be loyal to the company but they are NOT loyal to you
I'd like to know if ANY politician in Washington has EVER tried to provide for their families on unemployment? $9/hr min. wage is a JOKE!! A modest 2 bedroom apt, just for rent would require ATLEAST $14-$15/hr.
Jason, it isn't about taxing the rich, it's about letting their tax cuts expire. And then closing the loopholes that allow them to further shelter money. Billions can be found this way. And billions is a lot of money that can be used elsewhere. The idea isn't to "have rich people pay for everything and everyone", it's about understanding that if you have plenty, you can afford to help others.
Another great point. I know an owner of a company who, if he hears about you trying to start your own company but not trying to take his business, he still FIRES YOU on the spot and refuses to give you your last paycheck. This is a perfect example of GREED and selfishness. This is AMERICA and there is enough business out there for everyone
You will all be shocked when you die and realize you're not taking it with you. You'd rather give some money to local food bank than pay proper taxes. Flat tax rate and socialized medicine works in Europe and should already be here, except we choose to remain stupid and want to put ourselves over other human beings. Shameful!
If you took all the people who where rich and stripped them of all their wealth it would not pay down the deficient or make a substantial dent. The problem lies with a run away government spending too much
