As of today, the presidential oath will have been given 73 times to 43 different individuals (This includes both the private and public swearing-in ceremonies in 2013). Today's event will be the eighth inauguration ceremony held on the West Front of the Capitol.

The National Mall viewing area, which stretches from 4th to 12th Streets is full, according to the U.S. Park Police. They said in a mass text message that there is space around the Washington Monument, which has a direct line of sight to the Capitol.
