Rubio says Romney is backstage and ready to go.

Rubio was elected in 2010 and considered to be a rising star in the Republican Party, is among the headlining convention speakers once speculated to be at the top of Romney’s vice presidential shortlist. Rubio has said of the Ryan pick that he’s happy with the ticket and happy to stay in the Senate.
