President Obama will deliver a statement on Tropical Storm Isaac at 10 a.m. ET from the Diplomatic Room of The White House, according to the White House Press Office.
Per CNN Political Producer Shawna Shepherd: Rep. Paul Ryan is now on a flight from Janesville, Wisconsin to Tampa, Florida. Asked if he's ready for Tampa he said, "I am!"
On an RNC conference call, Romney senior adviser Russ Schriefer said the convention will go into session starting at 2 p.m. Delegates are set to take part in a roll call vote for both the vice presidential nominee and presidential nominee, and a big theme for the day will be "We built it," he said.
Asked on the RNC conference call if Mitt Romney will appear on stage when his wife, Ann, makes her speech tonight, Russ Schriefer said, "Certainly anything can happen."
From CNN Wire Staff: President Barack Obama called on Gulf Coast residents Tuesday to prepare for Tropical Storm Isaac, which is close to hurricane status as it heads toward land. "Now's not the time to tempt fate," he said. "Now's not the time to dismiss official warnings. You need to take this seriously."
Convention organizers stressed on a conference call that while the roll call vote takes place today, Romney and Ryan won't become the official nominees until Thursday. Delegations will be vote alphabetically by state. Organizers said they anticipate Romney will secure the 1,144 threshold needed for the nomination by the time the roll call hits a state that begins with the letter "N."

At 17, Evan Draim of Virginia is the youngest delegate at the Republican National Convention. He told CNN’s Carol Costello why he thinks some younger voters who picked Obama in 2008 will now cast their ballots for Romney.
"I feel like a lot of the freedom and individuality and decision making once left up to private, individual citizens, has now been transferred to the government. And I think that counters a lot of younger citizens’ views about how they should be treated. Younger citizens should want the same freedom from their government that they want from parents and other authority figures at this age. And so I think as we're going into 2012, a lot of younger voters have become apathetic about the election because the candidate they supported so overwhelmingly the last time has really let them down," he said.
Romney has landed in Tampa.
